Description

Collective Intelligence:
Foundations + Radical Ideas
Program Dates : June 19-23, 2023 in Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA

In this program we will search for collective intelligence unifying principles by tackling its foundations, and we will explore radical ideas for harnessing collective potential.

  • We will begin with a broad discussion of first principles approaches from the physical and natural sciences for deriving group performance from microscopic, individual level behavior and interactions.
  • We will debate the most promising measures of intelligences across systems. And we will consider the dynamics of collective intelligences in changing environments.
  • We will explore radical ideas for harnessing collective intelligence, including awarding of a radical ideas prize to the contributors of the idea deemed particularly creative and worthwhile.

The program is conducted in English. Participants are expected to attend the entire session. Applicants are welcome from all countries. We believe that human diversity in all of its dimensions is essential to meaningful scientific progress and encourage all who are eligible to apply.
