APPLICATION DEADLINE
Thursday, January 11, 2024, 23:59 MST (GMT–7).
Note: Mountain Time is the local time in Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA. Check your time zone so that you don't miss the deadline or use this calculator to convert the Mountain Time (Santa Fe time) to your time.
Documents will not be accepted after the deadline indicated above. Aim to submit your application at least two days before the deadline in case you have any problems. Submitting your application on time is a requirement.

We are so pleased you have decided to apply to the Santa Fe Institute UCR program. If you need any help during the application process or have questions about SFI we are happy to help. Before you begin the application, be sure to read all the information about our UCR program located on our site, including Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs).
Program Dates:
Sunday, June 2, 2024 to Saturday, August 10, 2024. NOTE: Participants must attend all ten weeks.
Eligibility
- Students must be enrolled in a degree-granting program (part-time or full-time) leading to the award of a baccalaureate or associate's degree.
- Students transferring from one institution to another may participate, even if not enrolled during the intervening summer.
- College seniors graduating before December 2024 are not eligible.
- High school graduates who have have not yet started their undergraduate study are not eligible.
- Students must be able to attend all ten weeks of the program and start on Sunday, June 2.
- SFI policy requires participants to provide proof of complete COVID-19 vaccination prior to beginning the program.
Begin the Application Process:
Create an account to begin the application process using the blue APPLY button in the upper right part of this screen. Once you create an account, the application steps will appear on your account page and will guide you through the process. The application platform is optimized for Google Chrome but should work with other browsers.
